It all began in 1958, when Mr. Yan Kam Chuen, a 14 year old young man, started his career in tailoring as an apprentice. His dedication and constant pursuit of excellence made him a master. In 1970, Mr. Yan founded Dapper Tailor Company Limited, offering custom-made suits, tuxedos, overcoats, shirts and ties. Since its inception, Dapper Tailor has been known for its delicate workmanship, personalized service, and no tolerance for quality, which established a loyal following in Hong Kong and overseas.
In 1978, Dapper Tailor opened its first store on Kimberly Road. Dapper Tailor has the best tailoring team, who has over 30 years dressmaking experience, and mastered the knowledge and art of tailoring, of cutting and sewing cloth. In addition, all fabrics and materials are carefully selected to provide highest quality and most comfort.
Over the past half century, Dapper Tailor has been renowned for its workmanship, fit, detail, and its impressive list of clients. The perfect quality attracts Presidents from international companies, lawyers in large corporation, managers, brokers and celebrities, who value the attire which should complement their figures, taste or walk of life. Overseas clients keep on ordering suits through email or telephone after travelling back to their countries. Some clients even have stayed with Dapper for more than 40 years.
Today, Dapper Tailor has opened this online store, offering online order service and an interactive platform to its customers. Dapper Tailor would carry on the tradition of impeccable bespoke tailoring to serve its customers.
